These were most likely made by customizing pixie elf figurines that were popular in the 1950s. The base figurines are made of rigid plastic, and they have custom clothes, hats, yarn hair, musical instruments, and hand-painted faces.
Price is for the pair of both clowns.

These are likely completely one-of-a-kind, and totally special!

Approximately 13" tall.

Condition:
These are vintage, handmade items in very good condition. Slight surface wear commensurate with age. These are delicate pieces and the utmost care must be taken when handling them.
